The echo of success stories of the neurodivergent, parents, development pediatricians, teachers, learning administrators and business owners filled the room and got me to listen.

An advocate that takes the neurodivergent voices to centerstage, “a forum where married narratives could collide and flourish.”

To elevate the voices of neurodivergent community, to encourage stakeholders to embrace inclusivity, to collaborate in supporting discovery and acceptance of this exciting neurodivergent journey beyond school to living a good life.

Representing the DepEd, he speaks about inclusivity as opportunity, equity and nation building and affirming the DepEd Secretary’s belief of an “effective learning delivery system places every learner at the heart of education”

He echoed the DepEd’s policies and mechanism to institutionalize inclusivity

  • RA 11650 also known as instituting policy of inclusion and services for learners for disabilities in support of inclusive education acts.
  • Child protection policy
  • Further enhance the capable systems: more flexible, responsive, inclusive,
  • Recognize that learners do not all follow the same path, and they should never be expected to.
  • Early discovery and intervention
  • Teacher training universal design for learning, differentiated instructions, individualized educational planning and use of sign language.
  • Support after school where inclusive hiring practices, reasonable accommodations, compassionate workplaces, enabling culture for everyone can contribute meaningfully and thrive
